PAVE RAISED $275,000 AT ITS 19TH ANNUAL GALA
Dec. 2, 2015, in New York City. The funding supports
the educational foundation’s programs to foster
future talent in the industry. The event attracted
850 influential retailers, designers, and industry suppliers such as Macy’s/Bloomingdale’s, Vera Bradley,
Saks Fifth Ave., Chute Gerdeman, Bernstein Display,
Van Stry, FRCH Design Worldwide, and Goldsmith.
Mannequins decorated by students from New
York’s Fashion Institute of Technology and LIM set
the tone. Inspired by event graphics by Wests Design
Consultants, the displays featured geometric shapes
of materials provided by Duggal. Nine students with winning projects and four educators attended through
PAVE honored winners of its 21st annual Student Design Competition, sponsored by The Kroger Co., awarding
$25,500 in grants to students and schools. Both first-place winners, chosen from more than 425 entries, were from
the University of Cincinnati: Neesha Reddivari in Store Design and Aliene Chidester in Visual Merchandising.
Elizabeth Price of FRCH Design Worldwide
was named PAVE’s Rising Star for the year.
Also honored were Rising Star finalists Bridgette
Hyde and Jeany Kim, both of CallisonRTKL.
