Leveraging RFID technology, this system seamlessly merges the in-store and online
shopping experience. Floor-mounted sensors underneath strategically positioned
rugs activate digital touchscreens. When a customer tries on a shoe and walks over
to the mirror, the 65-inch HD display “magically” changes to show other colors available online and similar styles based on “customers also bought” logic. Customers
can select items right from the touchscreens, send a link to their phone to complete
the transaction, and have it shipped for free.
