He succeeds Lee
Carpenter, who is leaving to focus
on personal opportunities. Carpenter will continue to advise Interbrand for three months.
Carpenter started Design Forum
in 1978 in Dayton, Ohio. The firm
was acquired in 2002 by Interbrand,
and Carpenter assumed his current
role in 2007.
Dirk Defenbaugh will continue
to lead the design firm.
OpenEye Global, which designs
and creates digital in-store experiences, has added three executives.
Joining OpenEye are Brian Dyches,
San Diego partner and director of
experience design and strategy;
Roger Starkweather, director
of business development; and
IV Dickson, senior sales engineer.
Global brand agency CBX has
appointed Anthony Simon group
director of its branded environments team. He brings more than 20
years of experience to CBX, where
he will provide creative leadership,
oversee process and operations, and
drive business development efforts.
Shane Vail has joined Stylmark as
VP of sales and marketing. Vail has
over 20 years of experience in global
sales and business development.
Nashville Wire Products (
Nashville Display) hired Geoff Wigner
as VP of sales and marketing for
its display division. Wigner was EVP
for SMS Assist, a technology-driven
facilities maintenance and management company. Previously, he was
senior director of store services for
Brad D. Bianucci has been named
director of destination services for
UniGroup Relocation. He will
manage the network of destination
service suppliers and help grow the
business. He has 13-plus years of

The Carlson Group welcomed
Erico Hara back as senior industrial
designer. In addition to assisting
domestic national clients, he will
lead design efforts in Latin America,

Brazil, as well as strategic design
partners in South America.
DCI-Artform has added Dave
Nielsen as senior sales executive
in the Chicago office. The company
also hired eight people in its Mil-
waukee headquarters. In marketing

Corrao, marketing manager sup-
porting the transportation sector;
Maureen Fay, marketing manager;

promoted Carla Shelton to estimating team leader. Her new primary responsibilities are to improve

business development manager,
Kim Guyton. Guyton has been
with Hera for 10 years as the East
Coast sales manager. Sharon
Walston has joined Hera as executive assistant to Brad Stewart,
director of sales. Walston was

C-level executives in distribution
and franchise sales companies.
DLC added Mark Wellnitz to its
sales team. Wellnitz will be based in
the New York City area as regional
sales manager, focusing on the store
fixture market. He is a 20-year veteran of the lighting industry with
a strong LED background.

members: Trish Nearhoof, as
project manager for the food retail
group; Peter Cruz and
Christopher Vela, as project captains; and

Stiles Machinery promoted Chris
Dolbow to marketing manager and
welcomed Christina Elsenbroek
as the department’s new marketing
coordinator. In his new role, Dolbow
will be responsible for the planning,

of all marketing strategies and communications including advertising,
events, public relations, and all
other activities associated with
the marketing department.
