Kaluz: Cut Resin
Floating Panels Entrance Wall
Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The floating wall made of cut resin panels enhances the character of the space.
Positioned at the building’s entrance, it contrasts with the woven metal door and
its backlit onyx surround, and creates a translucent screen behind the concierge
desk that provides an intriguing glimpse into the interior beyond. Like many of the
finishes used throughout the space, the thick, amber-tinted resin reflects the dramatic lighting without magnifying it, preserving the overall dark, intimate feel. The
wall divides screen the seating area from the lobby without obstructing the view
from either side, and its geometric pieces add to the visual interest by inviting further inspection.
