Company Store – Nolita
New York City
Retro decor, warm colors, and well-worn, one-of-a-kind vintage objects
create an inviting space that conveys the footwear brand’s authenticity.
Designers visited flea markets in search of antiques to enhance the theme,
finding a vintage cashwrap, woven rugs, worn leather seating, vintage lighting, and a genuine 1950s Wolverine retail sign—still in working condition.
From the original Wolverine tannery in Michigan, they sourced many factory items, including a large former parts bin that now showcases footwear,
more than 180 vintage wooden show lasts, and leather dryers that are used
as table bases and wall hooks. Events and art exhibits are regularly hosted
in the 1,800-square-foot store, making the Nolita neighborhood space as
functional as it is engaging.
