OUTSTANDING MERIT UMI
Rodeo Drive, Los Angeles
Backlit aluminum slats distinguish the tall, narrow storefront from its larger
neighbors and extend into an interior display fixture, drawing shoppers
inside. Varying ceiling heights eliminate a tunnel perception of the long,
15-foot-wide footprint while differentiating zones. Product categories are
identified by fixtures unique to each category. Variations in the scale of architectural environments accommodate the varying scale of products. High-ceilinged areas are accented by floor-to-ceiling displays, a glass bridge, and
large video screens that highlight special collections and product performance. Skylighting at the rear of the space pulls the eye all the way to the
back. Rich materials and textures reinforce the brand’s premium aspect.
