MILLER ZELL, as merchandising agency
of record for Citizens Bank, rolled out a new
communication strategy to 1,500 branches
of Citizens Bank in 12 states. The company
managed fixtures end to end for the
Providence, R.I.-based company’s network
of branches—from development through to
implementation, installation, and fulfillment.
Miller Zell, based in Atlanta, developed
a new communication strategy and platform
for Citizens, redesigning fixtures and signage
to balance the bank’s brand, product, and
promotional elements. Cost was an issue,
and the program needed to be modular and
scalable to fit many locations and footprints.
Branch floor plans, including the new
merchandising and branding components,
were programmed into Miller Zell’s MZ
Smart Icon system. The data was then
used to generate customized branch orders
and installation matrices. Prior to rollout,
installers participated in an intensive training,
focused on meeting accuracy and timeliness
key performance indicators.
