Retail Environments News
The industry’s premier awards competition is now open
for entries online. If you have a store or shop design
that might be your ticket to greatness, we want to see
it! And suppliers, there’s plenty of room for recognition
of your unique contributions. A.R.E.’s competition is the
only one that calls out individual elements including
store fixtures, visual presentations, flooring, in-store
communications, lighting, and wall treatments for
special awards. Sustainability efforts are also recognized. Save by entering early; the early-bird deadline
is December 17. Final deadline is January 15.

Has your supplier gone “Above & Beyond”?
A.R.E.’s Above & Beyond customer service award was established in 2006 by the
association’s Retail Council to recognize supplier member companies that have
exceeded customer expectations, and in some cases, made the impossible possible.
From the first rough sketches of a new job until the last fixture is safely installed in
the store, companies that receive this award have accomplished manufacturing feats
through commitment, determination, and above-and-beyond customer service.
A.R.E. fixture and visual presentation supplier member companies are eligible
to be nominated for A.R.E.’s 2013 Above & Beyond award by their retail customers.
Nomination forms are available at www.aredesignawards.com/above.cfm; for
more details, contact Karen Doodeman at 954-421-4833, karendoodeman@

Winners will be notified in February 2013, and awards will be presented at
A.R.E.’s Design Awards in Chicago during GlobalShop.
