maintained in a personal file at the store. shoppers also can find

they can make more informed choices. The personal file saves their
interests and choices, creating a relationship beyond a store visit.

sephora is distributing iPod Touch devices to sales associates.
Armed with the devices, sales associates can complete transactions, handle returns, send digital receipts, and check prices from
anywhere in the store. in the retailer’s flagship store in new York’s
Meat Packing district, the devices entirely replace traditional checkout stations. Also, as part of sephora’s mobile focus, the retailer is
outfitting some U.s. stores with iPads to give clients another way to
navigate sephora’s thousands of products and interact with a menu
of services offered at the Beauty studio.

The automotive retailer has opened a digital showroom in a tourist-heavy premium real estate area of central london. The entire model
line-up and options are presented on an interactive digital wall in
420 square meters. By stepping to the side and using gestures,
shoppers select from several hundred million configurations and
see it on life-size screens, along with technical details. A customer
relationship manager staffs the area to provide personalized service
and becomes a consistent point of contact, while sample materials
and surface treatments add a tactile dimension. Audi plans to roll
out more than 20 locations in major international cities by 2015.

Benefi Ts: buzz for the new store
This first concept store by french lingerie brand empreinte attracted
attention with a nightly hologram. A ghostly masked, lingerie-clad
model appeared to skip through the store and entice spectators
before disappearing in a shower of stars.
