The who’s who of retail environments will gather in New York
in December for the gala networking and fundraising event
In celebration of its 15th annual Gala, the members of the Planning and Visual Education Parnership’s Gala committee are creating a winter wonderland experience for more than 500 influential retailers, designers, and industry suppliers who
attend. The Gala, led this year by Bill
Goddu, PAVE vice president of the Gala and
vice president of marketing for Fleetwood
Fixtures, has become known as one of the
most important networking events for the
retail environments industry. The event
committee is co-chaired by Harry Cunningham, senior vice president of Store
Planning and Visual Merchandising for
Saks Fifth Avenue, and Denise Waldo, vice
president of business development for
Leggett & Platt Store Fixtures Group.

projects in the Student Design Competition
and nine educators attended through seats

Gala’s popularity continues to grow—tables
are selling quickly for this year’s event.

future retail design talent.
the Gala is paVe’s largest annual fundraiser,
and its success has enabled paVe to increase
the grants distributed to students and
educators over the years. With donors’
support, paVe continues to create new
programs for students and schools. over the
past four years, paVe has tripled the total of
grant and scholarship funding, and in 2011,
distributed a total of $65,000 in grants and
awards to benefit students and schools.
