If you haven’t joined A.R.E.’s Retail Environments Network on LinkedIn, now’s the time!
The vibrant community is now 5,000-plus strong and includes a wide variety of retailers,
designers, suppliers, and other industry professionals. It’s a great opportunity to join in
discussions; follow interesting links to articles, videos, and more; post your thoughts and
questions; and offer information in your own areas of expertise. Here are just a few of
the many active discussions as of press time:
• Anywhere-in-the-Store-Checkout: Who’s doing it? Who’s testing it? Is it a brilliant idea?
technology for the sake of technology? or a horrible experience waiting to happen?
• Retail Design Interface with Architects and Engineers: Are there “too many cooks” in
projects? Failures of project management and coordination? Just normal grumbling about
“the day job”? At least everyone agrees that the result was a beautiful project.
• Solutions for Gondola Fixtures with a Column in the Way. suggestions range from
wrapping the column with shelving, centering the column in the gondola, using t-leg
fixtures, hang-rails on short brackets, wrapping with slat- or pegwall, or utilizing the
space for navigational or lifestyle graphics. What would you suggest?
to join the conversation, go to linkedin, www.linkedin.com, and search groups for “Retail
Environments Network.” We look forward to hearing from you.
