On March 10 in Las Vegas, 60 outstanding projects
were presented with awards before a crowd of retail industry
leaders. The 2010 A.R.E. Design Awards recognized store
and shop designs, and individual store fixtures, visual presentations, flooring, lighting, wall treatments, and in-store communications. The Store of the Year, Visual Presentation of
the Year, and Fixture of the Year were presented, as well as
15 grand prizes and 16 outstanding merits in 23 categories,
and 18 special element awards.
New this year, eight Sustainability Awards were presented, including a Sustainable Project of the Year. This
is the second year for A.R.E.’s Sustainability Awards, and the
first year that it has been integrated into the overall A.R.E.
Design Awards program.
