Retail Environments News
Going to EuroShop?
Look for A.R.E.
U.S. retailers and their suppliers who travel to Düsseldorf, Germany,
for EuroShop 2011 next February will find the welcoming presence of
the Association for Retail Environments (A.R.E.). On Sunday, February
27, 2011, A.R.E. will sponsor two events designed to provide networking and information-sharing opportunities for North American
attendees. Mark your calendars and look for more information on the
• A.R.E. Shoptalk. A.R.E.’s EuroShop Shoptalk will allow
attending retailers to hear and share the information that
is in highest demand during the show. The event is planned
for 2 to 4 p.m., February 27. Register to attend online at
www.retailenvironments.org. (Platinum sponsor: Grottini;
City sponsors: Hera Lighting and Octanorm)
• North American Reception. This traditionally popular event,
co-sponsored by A.R.E. with Messe Düsseldorf North America
and DDI Magazine, will follow A.R.E.’s Shoptalk from 5: 30 to
7: 30 p.m. in the International Lounge at the Fairgrounds in
Düsseldorf, Germany. All North American EuroShop attendees
are welcome, although the event is limited to 200 people.
RSVP to Toni Ward at email@example.com.
Sponsorships are being accepted for the Shoptalk event, providing
companies with valuable exposure just as retailers are heading for
the show floor. For information on becoming a sponsor, contact Susan
Kimelman, firstname.lastname@example.org or 954-241-4812.
EuroShop 2011 will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany, next winter
and A.R.E. will be on hand with networking and information-sharing
opportunities for North American attendees.
Watch for Your Buyers’ Guide
Your 2011 Buyers’ Guide mails
the beginning of December. The
guide includes contact information for more than 600 A.R.E.
member manufacturing, supplier,
designer, and visual presentation
products companies. The Buyers’
Guide is available at no cost to
members (over a certain number
per member company, $25 each), and available
at no cost to retail designers and specifiers.
Non-member supplier companies may purchase
the guide for $175. Contact A.R.E. at 954-893-7300
or e-mail email@example.com.
“Above & Beyond” Recognition
A.R.E.’s Above & Beyond customer service award
was created by the association’s Retail Council to
recognize A.R.E. members who have exceeded
customer expectations. This is a great opportunity for retailers to recognize vendors for their
efforts, through industry trade publications, a
featured article on A.R.E.’s Web site for retailers,
in Retail Environments magazine, and more.
Entry forms for the 2011 award are now available at www.retailfix.com or
contact Karen Doodeman at 954-893-7300, ext. 4833, so that we can send
information about the award. Entries will be accepted from retailers through
December 15. The 2010 awards will be presented at A.R.E.’s Design Awards in
Las Vegas in March.
